A Cape May Christmas Story | Brothers in the Historic District

There’s something timeless about Christmas in Cape May, New Jersey — the cobblestone streets, twinkling lights, and that charming mix of Victorian architecture and small-town warmth. This session with three brothers brought all that magic to life.

We met in the historic Cape May district, where the streets were lined with wreaths and red bows, and the air felt like something straight out of a Christmas movie. The boys arrived in their classic holiday outfits, full of energy and excitement, ready to explore and laugh their way through town.

Photographing siblings is one of my favorite things…. especially brothers. There’s always a mix of playful chaos and genuine love that shines through when they’re together. These three had me smiling from start to finish: one cracking jokes, one trying to act “too cool,” and one who couldn’t stop giggling every time his brother nudged him.

As we walked past the Victorian homes and festive shopfronts, we paused under garlands and lamplights for those cozy, storybook portraits that make holiday sessions so special. The combination of rich colors, historic textures, and those boyish grins made every frame feel like a Christmas card come to life.

This session reminded me why I love Cape May so much during the holidays, it’s full of nostalgia, wonder, and a little touch of cinematic magic.
