When I was a kid, I use to dress up in my grandma’s clothes. I’d go into her huge walk-in (I don’t even have one today) and try on all her beautiful dresses and heels. I’d go to her makeup table and put on her makeup, a little rouge, a little lipstick and do a catwalk around her bedroom. I felt like a princess. The shoes and clothes were huge, but it was just something I loved to do. 

Today, we have the luxury of dressing our kiddos up in some pretty crazy couture dresses and in my reality.. they can actually be princesses!!! This is why I do the Fonthill Castle sessions. We have this beautiful castle in our own backyard and what can be more dreamier than that?

As part of my photography services, I offer princess sessions. My work tends to look dreamy and painterly… Basically, everything magical. It’s actually pretty much the epitome of our business this style and why people hire me. It’s about creating one of a kind experiences to all our clients. Whether they wish to be leprechauns, fairies or in this case, princesses.

I discovered this castle years and years ago, as I got to travel all over the Philadelphia region exploring just about everything. Sites would even ask me to come out to tour their facilities, isn’t that cool?

This one always stood out in my mind. It’s truly a unique piece of architecture in the Philadelphia area and it has that very European look and feel to the grounds. Thus, creating that magical and enchanting environment that you always want to look for.

The light is always pretty great here in the afternoon and it is a perfect backdrop for those princess sessions. I have also done engagement sessions here too. Reminiscent of Cinderella.

This place does require a permit, but I have to say it is well worth it to use.

My goal this year is to do princess sessions INDOORS.

On summer nights you can hear the frogs chirping away and they can be loud, but my daughter likes to see them hopping around in the pond or “princess moat” as she calls it.
