And for myself, it's been a decade-long journey to capture the beauty and essence of each beach along the South Jersey coastline.

With over 175 sessions a year, Shooting Star Photography has become an expert in capturing the perfect beach portrait. From Asbury Park down to Cape May, each beach has its own unique charm and style. And with a magical dust of guidance, my clients can choose the perfect location, clothing, and even hair styles to make their beach portrait session a memorable experience.

Starting in Asbury Park, I love capturing the iconic Convention Hall and its vibrant murals. From there, it's a journey down the coastline to Margate, with its stunning beachfront mansions and picturesque piers. And in Strathmere, it’s wonderful to capture the quiet serenity of the beach with its untouched dunes and natural beauty.

But it's not just the beaches that the I capture when it comes to “the shore.” In Ocean City, the iconic boardwalk and amusement park provide a perfect backdrop for a fun-filled portrait session. And in Sea Isle, the quaint beach town charm and colorful beach houses make for a whimsical setting.

Moving on to Avalon and Stone Harbor, I enjoy capturing the beauty of these upscale beach towns with their pristine beaches and high-end homes. And in Wildwood, the vibrant boardwalk and retro-style motels provide a fun and lively atmosphere for a portrait session.

But it's the farthest south beach locale, Cape May, that steals the show. With its Victorian homes and historic lighthouse, Cape May is a photographer's dream. 

The quaint streets lined with gas lamps and the colorful gardens make for a perfect setting for a romantic beach portrait session. I typically shoot in Cape May all year round.
