Fun and Lively New Jersey & Pennsylvania Portraits
A Fun, Colorful Photoshoot on the Ben Franklin Bridge: A New Jersey & Pennsylvania Portrait Experience
Ah, the Ben Franklin Bridge. It’s one of those iconic spots in Philly that makes you feel like you're in the middle of a Rocky movie—minus the sweat and running up stairs. Recently, I teamed up with a couple of my photographer friends (because let's face it, a shoot this cool needs a crew) for a family portrait session that turned out to be as lively as a cheesesteak on a Friday night.
Meet the Crew
We had a little girl in a red dress, a teen in black (who definitely could’ve been in a music video), and a red-headed preteen rocking a green outfit like she was straight out of a fashion catalog. Throw in the amazing backdrop of the Ben Franklin Bridge, and we had the makings of a classic portrait session that was anything but ordinary.
The Little Lady in Red
Let’s talk about the little lady in the red dress. If she wasn’t twirling in it like a mini Broadway star, she was giving us all the sass. Honestly, I was waiting for her to break out into a solo. This girl was the definition of drama—but the good kind.
Teen Vibes in Black
The teen, in her black outfit, was basically serving "I’m-too-cool-for-this" vibes but in the best way possible. She was low-key pulling off a vibe that screamed, “I’ll pose when I’m ready, thanks.” But when she did—wow! Effortless cool.
The Redhead Who Took Green to the Next Level
And the redhead? She was giving us full-on boho-chic vibes in that green dress—like, she might’ve just stepped out of a magazine for trendy preteens. Seriously, if I could pull off that look, I’d probably still be rocking it now.
The Best Backdrop in Philly
As for the setting—hello, Ben Franklin Bridge. If you’ve ever been to Philly, you know how iconic it is. We had that stunning city skyline on one side and the bridge towering over us on the other. It was the perfect setting for this shoot, giving off total “Philly pride” vibes.
The kids were absolutely killing it, posing like they were born to be in front of a camera. You could practically hear the Philly tourists asking, “Who are they, and how do I get their autograph?”
Philly Energy, Philly Fun
The whole session had the perfect Philly vibe—chill, cool, and full of energy. The Ben Franklin Bridge isn't just a great backdrop, it’s practically an old friend at this point. Plus, there’s always that Philly pride that sneaks in, whether you want it to or not.
By the end of the shoot, I think we all agreed that we’ve got some future stars on our hands. These kids were absolute naturals—honestly, if their portraits weren’t enough to make your heart explode, the vibe of the shoot definitely would. And let’s not even get started on the teen’s smirk. You know that look—the “I’m way too old for this but fine, I’ll let you take one picture” look. Priceless.
Why Philly Makes the Best Portraits
All in all, this session was one for the books. Philly’s vibe adds something extra to a photoshoot—it’s the energy, the history, and that “I’m-from-here” feel that makes every shot pop. The Ben Franklin Bridge was the perfect backdrop for this family’s portraits, and the kids brought all the charm that only Philly kids can bring.
If you’re looking for a New Jersey or Pennsylvania photographer who can make your family portraits as fun as a cheesesteak on South Street, give me a shout. We’ll bring the energy, the laughs, and maybe even a Philly pretzel or two.
