2026 Fall & Holiday Photo Sessions in New Jersey & Pennsylvania
It’s officially my favorite time of year for photography! 🍂🎄
The final three months of 2026 are packed with some of the most magical sessions I offer at Shooting Star Photography. From colorful fall portraits and whimsical unicorn sessions to Christmas sets and visits with Santa, there are so many opportunities to update your family photos and create something special before the year comes to an end.
My remaining 2026 photography sessions will take place throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania, with a mix of mini sessions, specialty sessions and select full sessions.
Fall Photo Sessions in New Jersey & Pennsylvania 🍂
There is just something about fall in New Jersey and Pennsylvania that makes it perfect for family photography. Golden light, changing leaves, cozy colors and cooler evenings create some of the prettiest natural backdrops of the entire year.
My fall calendar includes a variety of outdoor sessions designed for families, children, siblings and updated portraits. Whether you want classic family photos for your walls or images to use for holiday cards and gifts, fall is one of the best times of the year to get them done.
And yes … I always choose locations and areas with beautiful light, because lighting makes ALL the difference!
Magical Unicorn Photo Sessions 🦄
The unicorns are back!
These have always been some of the most unique sessions I offer, and they’re perfect for kids who want something a little more magical than a traditional portrait session.
My unicorn sessions combine beautiful outdoor scenery, gorgeous light and a little bit of fantasy to create portraits that feel like they belong in a storybook.
If you have a unicorn-loving kiddo, this is definitely one of those sessions you don’t want to miss.
Christmas Photo Sessions 🎄
Then we head straight into CHRISTMAS!
Christmas sessions are always one of the busiest parts of my year, and 2026 will include multiple opportunities for holiday portraits throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
These sessions are perfect for Christmas cards, gifts for grandparents, updated sibling portraits or simply documenting another holiday season with your family.
I love creating holiday images that still feel like portraits — beautiful enough to display in your home long after the Christmas decorations come down.
Santa Photo Sessions 🎅
And, of course, Santa will be making an appearance!
Santa sessions are about so much more than getting the traditional “smile at the camera with Santa” photo.
The little conversations, the excitement, the shy smiles and sometimes even the hilarious reactions are what make these sessions so much fun. Those candid moments often end up being the photographs parents love the most.
They also make an amazing annual tradition. ❤️
A Smaller 2026 Calendar
One important change this year: I’ve significantly reduced the number of sessions I’m taking.
After more than a decade photographing families, I’m being much more intentional about my schedule and the number of dates I open.
That means the dates currently listed in my shop represent my remaining availability for the rest of 2026. I will not be adding the volume of additional dates that I may have offered in previous years.
Some specialty and mini sessions are also tied to specific dates and locations, so once those spots are filled, they’re gone.
If you already know you want fall or Christmas photos this year, I definitely recommend reserving your session sooner rather than waiting until November.
