What a delightful portrait session on a spring day in Cherry Hill this was!
It was a warm spring day in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and our lighting was PERFECTION. I was hired by this mom to take updated portraits of her two beautiful daughters. We chose a gorgeous spot that has cherry trees in South Jersey here. prior to the session I asked Mom what she was looking for and she said she wanted some really nice dresses that coordinate well together so I had recently purchased these two beautiful blue pastel numbers and I thought they would be perfect in their size and to fit the setting that we would be shooting in.
How our sessions work is we meet you at the scene/location, and exchange pleasant/ nice greetings (sometimes hugs, if you are a repeat customer) and we look over the trunk of dresses. I usually bring around 30 dresses in my car to the shoot and pull them that day for my client and their size. These dresses worked out perfectly for the setting. I bring out my changing tent, I bring out all the headpieces (flower crowns and tiaras) and we coordinate and the kids laugh. After getting dressed, and seeing their children all dressed up, the parents usually have large smiles on their faces, the kids… have some laughs and feel like princesses, it’s a fun production. Once the kids are dressed and hair fixed and ready to go. We start shooting and we just have fun with a lo of twirls, lot of smiles, cherry blossoms, falling all around us, beautiful light, a great location and just happiness is brimming in the air, lots of positivity and happiness from all sides.
I truly love providing this experience to my customers. I love how they can just show up and they don’t need to go out and buy anything for their photo shoot I have everything needed so that’s an additional cost that they saved plus the dresses are chosen for particular locations in this case I actually bought these dresses for cherry blossom sessions and as you can see, they just work beautifully together with the pastel setting.
