What better place to gather the family together than to go to the Ocean City boardwalk and beach for some pastel colored beach awesomeness! We need to rock and roll and that’s what we do here. The sun was shining brightly on the beach at Ocean City, New Jersey, and I was ready with my camera to capture some beautiful memories for a special family that I have been working with for many years. This particular family consisted of two little ladies dolled up in dollcake dresses… ready to play in the sand and they were all dressed in bright and colorful outfits that perfectly complemented the pastel hues of the beach and sky.

The girls aka princesses were as beautiful as ever, with long blonde hair that flowed gently in the breeze. They were the perfect picture of a modern-day sisterhood who knew how to have fun in the sand. These little girls had their hair sparkling in the sunshine and blowing in that gorgeous sea breeze. With smiles that could light up the entire beach. At times, these girls had a mischievous twinkle in their eyes because they just wanted to run off and play in the sand and get dirty. Of course, couldn’t get fully dirty with wearing their Dollcake gear. Oh by the way, check out their gorgeous dresses here.

We decided to start the shoot on the Ocean City fishing pier, which is one of the most popular spots in town. The pier was buzzing with activity, with families and couples walking up and down, enjoying the view and the fresh sea air. Their mom and the kids were all excited to get started, and we quickly got to work.

Unicorn Sessions are MAGICAL in South Jersey

There's nothing sweeter than seeing a child's eyes all bright-eyed when they see the "Unicorn" for the first time. There's something sweet and magical about it. I love bringing these special unicorn sessions to the families of South Jersey. It's a craft I have tried to perfect over the years, as it's not always working with a live animal.

I know 2020 has been tough for every one. It's been definitely an eye-opener for many photographers in our area. We've all had to scramble to make sure we are providing a safe working environment for our employees and our patrons. As we move ahead, we have put in special safety measures in place as to keep to social distancing, but still providing the same quality that you typically expect.

With how this pandemic is going on, I am sure it is making everyone on edge right now. We all know this is necessary to stay in side. As this will pass. However, I am finding that the more and more this continues, that family is important. It's more important more than ever. That's why getting photographs of your family will be key. This virus is taking lives and our loved ones. Everyone that is at home, understands that social distancing is a must.

As "non-essential" small businesses, we are all trying to stay afloat. These are tough times ahead. This time shall pass and I am greatly looking forward to the summer! I see many family gatherings and events happening in our near future. It's the one thing we need to hold onto during these tough times.

Broad Street Philadelphia Facts

Broad Street is one of Philadelphia's most famous and vibrant thoroughfares. Here are some facts about Broad Street that you might find interesting:

1. Length: Broad Street stretches 13 miles from the old Naval Yard in South Philadelphia to the northern edge of the city at the city line with Cheltenham Township.

2. History: Broad Street was originally called Sassafras Street by William Penn when he first laid out the city in the late 17th century. It was later renamed Broad Street because of its width.
