The Magical Unicorn Experience with Shooting Star Photography- Philadelphia's Unicorn Photographer
We've been doing unicorn sessions for a very long time. We started it in the Philadelphia area and a few others have come onboard. However, safety, consistency in the art we deliver and the art of the finished product, is what truly stands us apart in the Philadelphia area. It's not about the images, although we love that you display them on your walls! It is about the experience for every single child that participates in these sessions. It's the joy on their faces when they see, Drifter, the magical unicorn.
Drifter is like a "big puppy." He's so kind with our kiddos. I love seeing children run up to him and give him a big hug and a kiss! It's always something special!

Unicorn magic in Philadelphia! Making dreams come true!
When the children arrive, they see all the dresses out and headpieces! We greet every single child and ask the parents what they want their little ones to wear. We help get dressed. We have a changing tent on the scene for privacy concerns and then matchup headpieces. We then take the children over to see the magical unicorn. I cannot tell you the look of surprise and wonderment when they see the unicorn! IT is such a special moment!
Unicorn Sessions in Southern New Jersey.
The kiddos get to interact and twirl, even sit on the unicorn (if they want to). We have our handlers ALWAYS next to the kiddos. We edit out the handlers for a safe and enjoyable experience.

Unicorns are the most magical creatures that frolic on this earth, aren’t they? Well, to our adoring children’s eyes, they are. As magical and “real” as all the rainbows in the sky.

Unicorns are the most magical creatures that frolic on this earth, aren’t they? Well, to our adoring children’s eyes, they are. As magical and “real” as all the rainbows in the sky.
As you get older, sometimes you lose that magic. That childlike wonderment. I can assure you, when you eventually have children, work with children, or become an aunt, uncle, cousin, the tooth fairy… you start to see the magic to awaken in yourself again because you start to see things through their world and their eyes.

There’s nothing better in this world to see a child happy. NOTHING. A smile says it all. The joy, says it all. It’s all the feelings in the world. For myself, and having two children, I truly try to capture and cherish these moments with them. It’s a burning hole in my heart sometimes.. as bit by bit and year by year, they get a little older. Bit by bit, that baby face starts to turn into a little adult or mini me and before you know it. Your oldest (10 years old) is standing up to your chin and you wonder when the day, they will tower over you.
I cannot tell you that this isn’t just a job for me. This is my livelihood, this is my passion, this is my reputation. This is everything to me. I love photography. The work that goes into this, is surreal, but it’s the people I meet. The families I see grow year after year. Some I knew in their mama’s bellies. This is the moment, the time, you say wow, “I’m blessed.” Blessed these beautiful people allowed me to witness their family grow, entrusted me to make memories with.
We’ve laughed, we’ve cried. We’ve grown. We’ve sucked and nipped our ways into gowns, we’ve seen others lose their hair (I went completely bald a few years ago) and have had many battle cancer, diseases, illness and go through horrible struggles. Some of us are unfortunately, not here with us today. Some made it through and are fortunate enough to be here.
It’s the humanity and the human circle of life. I think a lot of us forget that magic. I know I have at certain times in my life, but this job keeps me going. It keeps me alive. I love creating this magic, the scenery, the dresses, the smiles, the imagery… so that it’s for your precious piece of time. That small second, of a capture, of your 7 year old. That time she was sooo happy and you just made his or her childhood. That’s what it’s about. The memories. As parents, we want to create and share beautiful memories with our kids. We don’t know how long we will be here and we know that time is precious.

Magical Winter Unicorn Experience 2021... Just Launched!
Unicorns.... It's what we do BEST around here. We have had folks come in from all over the country to be photographed with our real life unicorns! We truly like to make it a unique experience for everyone!
I truly enjoy seeing every child's face when they see the wonderment of their unicorn. It is truly incredible seeing magic unfold between your eyes and the interaction of child and unicorn. Each child falls in love and it melts my heart! I am still working on my little girl to do such a session and I think she's now ready!!! I want to post these all over my own wall of this art!
We hope to see you for this magical unicorn photography experience, this upcoming March! We cannot wait to capture some unique memories and portraits for you and your children!
With every single unicorn session, we bring dresses in girls sizes from 2-14 and headpieces. All you need to do, is show up and smile and have a great time! We will take care of the rest for you!
