Deep in the heart of the forest of Southern New Jersey, there lies a magical realm where unicorns roam free. It is here that Dee, the photographer, of Shooting Star Photography captures the most whimsical and enchanting moments of children and families as they embark on a mystical journey with these beautiful creatures.

One sunny afternoon, a family of four arrived at the forest, their eyes wide with wonder as they gazed at the lush trees and glittering sunlight that filtered through the branches. Dee greeted them warmly, and as they walked deeper into the woods, the family could hear the soft sound of hooves and the gentle tinkling of bells in the distance.
As they rounded a bend, they came face to face with a beautiful unicorn, her coat gleaming in the sunlight. The children gasped in delight and the parents couldn't help but smile as Dee began to capture these magical moments.
The family sat atop the unicorn, marveling at the beauty of the forest around them. Dee captured shots of the family as they petted and hugged the unicorn, who seemed to be enjoying the attention just as much as they were.

Every single unicorn session has a different location depending on the season when you arrive at your scheduled time we were greet you and guide you. You will see numerous racks of beautiful gowns, all varying in sizes and that coordinate with the season we have a changing temp for privacy on location where you can try on the dresses and choose what you’d like to wear for your sessions. We offer this as a courtesy it to our customers. Of course, you do not need to wear dresses. You may wear whatever you wish.

Whether it be maternity unicorn sessions, children or family sessions... we are the premiere unicorn photographer in the Philadelphia Region.
Whether you’d like a magical maternity session, a child’s portrait session, or would like beautiful imagery of your family. We can make your unicorn session one-of-a-kind, and unique to your needs. Now getting back to the session. Once we get you dressed, we will then guide you to the unicorn where your child will be surprise in delight to see Drifter, our magical unicorn. Drifter also goes by another name, “Sparkle” as he will be in an upcoming feature film called, Sparkle a Unicorn Tale.
At to session we will guide you in various poses. You may get on the horse if you’d like based on preference and you were also welcome to get any poses that you would like for your session. We have two handlers always at our disposal and you were free to also be with your child as they are photographing.

Fall Unicorn Sessions in Washington Twp, NJ!
It’s that time of year! The leaves are changing and we definitely have some show-stopping beauty in the Philadelphia area. Have you ever driven along Fairmount drive? Taken a tour up to the Delaware Water Gap and Canal in the fall?
My favorite place to visit in the fall is the Lambertville and New Hope Area. Take the stairs up Bowman tower to see the trees along the Delaware and it is truly a sight to see.
I found a magical place locally. With a ton of colors that just pop. The light is just perfection. It’s one of my favorite places to shoot. In all seasons, but it definitely shines in the fall.
On another note, our unicorn is now famous! He is being featured in an upcoming film on a streaming service. It is called, Sparkles- A Unicorn Tale. One of the trailers of the film, is already out on the internet. A lot of our farm animals, that we have worked with, are also in this trailer! I cannot wait until this airs. Right now, it’s looking to be released around November/December of the holiday season.

Right now, it’s the perfect time to get your photograph with the beloved Drifter. He is so gentle and ever just an incredible horse! I am so happy for his owner, Ashley and husband and daughter. They will always have this keepsake as a memory. It’s also a pretty big deal to get filmed in Upper Deerfield! Yet, alone in South Jersey!
