This was our feather dress! It had feathers and lots of tulle for mom.
vintage mint green dress for this little spunky lady.
Hi there! As stated a long, long, long time ago on this blog of Neverland... that I would be offering stylized sessions this year... and guess? We did it! We launched it!!! It has been a blast! I receive sometimes a few new dresses a day that ship in and it's pretty crazy. I have now over a 100 different dresses in sizes ranging from 12 months up until 14 years old. I have just started receiving and collecting some adult gowns... as one is shown below.. A few more selections have come in a champagne with sequins (its gorgeous, trust me, not ugly) It would fit a size 4-6 individual and has a built in bra. I also have a black gown for size 12.
Our Wardrobe Selection
A pink gown that will fit most folks from a size 6-10. I will feature that down the road. One thing I have noticed this year is the girls and boys, when they are dressed up, they seem to cooperate much more easily. I honestly believe it is because they are playing dress up and feel like the little princesses or princes that they are.A few things that I need to change this year, is my turnaround time. I am at about 8 weeks now. Last year's was about 10-12 weeks and at least I have managed to cut that down efficiently this year, but would like to try and keep it at a simple 4-6 weeks.
Even sooner if possible. For the little girls, I have dresses in all sizes and colors and hundreds of hair pieces and crowns for you to choose from. We bring a little pop up changing tent with us on location and about 4 different dress options that you can choose for during your session. It's been a hoot and I'm in love!!! A lot of moms and dads will ask what types of shoes their children should bring. I always recommend neutrals, silvers, blacks, whites, golds, something that will still film well on camera. Some new locations I have scouted are in Medford, Deptford, Vineland, Pedricktown, Sewell and Monroeville for this year.
I am now looking into locations in Delaware and the Chester County area to kind of branch out for my clients. I've got a few private properties that I use as well to make it a fun and enjoyable experience for all. Thanks for being a huge support for me and my business this year. A few kinks to still work out as have only been in business a full calendar year, but think we're well on our way!!!!
More coming.. even maternity dresses!
I'm enjoying this roller coaster ride. It's been pretty unreal!!!! I've been traveling up and down South Jersey and into Philly lately... It's been rough and it's been very busy. Our calendar is pretty full into November this year... for that is a blessing in itself. One goal going forward, is to provide even better customer service then what we are providing now. We're working out the details for our future endeavor!!!
Stay tuned! It's going to be fun! Will be featuring more of our selections! About half our inventory hasn't even been worn yet!!! Can you imagine?? Happy Shooting, my friends!!! Dee

And if you are a photographer... You must join join!
Every single day, there are new photographers popping up. I admire them. They're bright-eyed and bushy tailed and eager to learn (or should be). They are excited and have a ton of passion. If one is already naturally creative, they can apply that to their new role and journey. It's crazy because I don't look down on these new togs. I know that if they are going to make it, they're going to have to dedicate so much time building their business and developing their craft. It is HARD and it's HARD to get on your feet initially.
HARD to get your name out there and book appointments. Plus, you want to learn and soak up EVERYTHING you can get your hands on!!! Trust me, I get it. I do great with folks in South Jersey. I book a lot of sessions and some I have to refer out and qualify to see if I'll be the best fit for the customers. If I didn't refer these folks out and qualify them, I'd have too much of a workload on my plate and would be stressed to the gills. However, I am starting out in a sense by launching myself into new markets like Delaware and Philadelphia.
These markets I am now going after and trying to get my name out and am now laying the footwork to get in there like I've done here in South Jersey.I try and keep my life in balance, but unfortunately my workload sometimes gets the best of me. New tog, It's going to be tough, but you can do it! Your first year will have you on a roller coaster.Anyway, I tend to ramble a lot. However, I wanted to devise a good list for the newer photographer starting out of some great Facebook groups that I think will be truly beneficial to you as you stomp through the mud of your journey. So here it goes... My ultimate Facebook group resource!

Photographing subjects in a winter wonderland provides a canvas filled with endless creative possibilities. The contrast between the crisp white snow and the rich colors of winter clothing can produce striking and visually dynamic compositions. The soft, diffused light of winter adds a dreamy quality to portraits, enhancing the mood and atmosphere.
The winter season also offers a sense of intimacy and warmth that is distinct from other times of the year. Bundling up in cozy scarves, hats, and gloves can create a sense of closeness and comfort, allowing for authentic and heartwarming portraits. The subtle rosy cheeks and the sparkle in the eyes from the chilly air can convey a story of joy, resilience, and togetherness.
Moreover, winter provides an excellent opportunity to incorporate unique elements into portraits, such as falling snowflakes, frosty breath, or the soft textures of knitwear. These details add an ethereal and whimsical touch to the imagery, elevating the overall enchantment of the portraits.

Believing In A Dream And Capturing What You Love
I have believed in a dream for so long! I always wanted to own my own company, but didn't know what I actually wanted. When my daughter was born, something woke inside me to want to capture photographs of my kids. Photos that I would always treasure. My husband purchased a camera for me a little over a year ago and I haven't looked back! I have soaked in everything I have been taught and I have strived to become better and better in what I do! Friends saw my photos of my kids and then asked if I could take their photographs and then the rest is honestly history... Here we are today... a year later!!! This past year, I have had a dream. A gigantic dream.
My dream is starting to become a reality and I'm starting to envision it. This February is my ONE year anniversary in business!!! Yay, Shooting Star!!! My goal in the next few years is to open up a studio in Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia! Now, I have jumped through puddles and leaps to get to where I am today and I couldn't have done it without any of you, my clients and dear customers. I knew I had to put in hard work these last few months. NEVER could I have imaged I'd be where I am today!!!I have my dream equipment and lens.
This past year was good practice to know what I wanted to do and where I wanted to go... With that being said... EVERY SINGLE SESSION that is booked will be fully stylized by me. I have over 100 dresses fitting sizes from a few months up until age 14.. I also have maternity gowns and headpieces.I am a firm believe that when you stylize a session, or what you wear to a session... can definitely affect your end result and photographs.
Having Fun As A Photographer
There are colors that create color casts in certain environments and is usually not pleasing to the skin. Watch out oompa loompas!!! Haven't you ever seen orange skin? Or purple skin? Or blue skin? I've seen all the colors of the rainbow!!! And yes, I was that photographer once! I didn't know any better! So for 2016, everyone gets the ultimate treatment and will feel like a princess. It will be an ultimate boutique experience where you will dress and up and feel beautiful. If you feel beautiful, you look beautiful... that's my motto. You could be the prettiest person in the world, but if you don't FEEL IT inside and your insides are ugly, well that is going to show on camera. I will get you smiling and giggling, I promise!!!
It's my job to capture how pretty you are and let that shine through!!! Some of our wardrobes and headpieces shown above and can't wait to show you more!!! I hope to see you this year!!! It is going to be a blast!! Thank you for stopping by and checking our company out.
We really do our best to put out the best product out there. We want you to treasure these photographs for years to come!!! Let me capture some of these moments for you and show you some beautiful locations all across South Jersey!!! I am following my passion and I hope that you will pursue yours as well.
This Is Not Just A Job For Me
Yes, this is a job, but it's a job I love to do. I don't look at it as a job. It's my livelihood! Okay, well enough of my ramblings!!! Can't wait until you see our pretty gown offerings!! Our headpieces... and most of all, you'll get to see me shooting with my heart!!Stay tuned because this year is about to get bumpy!!! A fun bumpy!! Woo hoo!!!
Happy Shooting, my friends!
