We've been very busy over here in South Jersey land. The weather has been absolutely beautiful this past week. We're getting that yummy fall light that every single photographer dies for. The kind of light you want to reach out and eat because it's so delicious!!! And the kind of light that makes you look gorgeous!!! We're sold out for the year! What a blessing, right? It's been a great year with our clients. I have loved every moment of it! We did originally keep this weekend open in the event of Halloween and also for potentionally peak foliage. It turns out, that it is looking like peak foliage this weekend. Hopefully, if the weather holds out!!! Every year around Halloween, it seems like we get a little rain as cooler weather starts to fly in. However, some years we get very lucky with gorgeous weather through November! Fall Sessions are HERE!!!

 Hi South Jersey!!! Boy, do I have some fantastic news!!!!We have decided to launch some fall mini sessions in the peak height of the 2018 foliage season! These sessions will be held the weekend of the 27th~!  These sessions are a steal at only $200!!! The location will be in beautiful Woolwich Township- Swedesboro, New Jersey. This setting has optimal lighting. Great foliage and color will and should be at full height of the fall season in Southern New Jersey.These sessions will include dresses, between 15-20 minutes of shooting time. An online proofing gallery and two fine art edits. Guaranteed to be perfect for your Christmas cards!!! These are also great for folks who do not want to invest in a full session and maybe do sessions a few times a year and wanting that ONE epic capture. Shooting Star Photography LLC had the honor of capturing a heartwarming family photo shoot on the iconic 13th Street in Philadelphia. The session was nothing short of a miracle as the family came together after years of living in different cities.

The neutral backdrop of the urban street provided the perfect canvas to showcase the genuine love and connection between the family members. Our experienced photographers skillfully captured the laughter, embraces, and joyful tears that filled the air during the session.

Wow! I can't believe it's been a few months since I even updated this blog here. It has been SUPER DUPER LOOPER BUSY.  That's why. We're having so much fun this year! Lots of great new locations, some new and old faces.. lots of neat themes, dresses the whole nine! We're now heading into our beach season.  Beach is one of my favorite things to capture and am fortunate to live by a beach that is 20 minutes from my own house!  We're also doing some mermaid sessions this year and have teamed up with a local photographer out of Lancaster, Pa.

(CHECK HER OUT) She is plain amazing and am fortunate enough to call her one of my best buddies!! Another of my favorites from this session.. wearing an Anna Triant couture dress!!  As the season progresses, we head into doing more family-type more portraits.  I figured I would start off with this sweet little family that I was fortunate enough to photograph back in December.  

Yep, that's how far I am behind in getting sessions up on here!  I love capturing the essence and personality of families and all members! We usually have a great time! Although this one was tough. I believe it was under 20 degrees out, haha. You wouldn't really know it by the look of how they are posing, but trust me there were shivers galore going on here!We set off  to our journey... in City of Brotherly LOVE, in Philly and it was probably one of the COLDEST sessions to date.  This is an awesome street around Christmas season (generally, after Thanksgiving) as there are Christmas lights everywhere and I mean everywhere.

However, it was so cold we kind of made this a VERY VERY VERY quick session as our plan was to stay near sunset/dusk when they came on.  The kids shown here,  I have to say... were tremendous troopers as they were photographed without their jackets off.  My very own assistant got frost bite from this day and had to sit out of this session.  

Me... PFFFFT I laugh at the cold and hot temperatures. I love photography so much that I could do this every hour of every day!!! Excited for our upcoming Hippy Van/Ice Cream Shoot, Peonies , Mermaid and Beach sessions in South Jersey!  All have been sold out!  It's going to be an AWESOME Summer! Fairy, Fairies… Quite Contrary.

I want to try to start doing a few more different things around here. My focus next year is very STRONG in where I want to go. I see a bright, bright, future ahead. I will be in business officially 2 years this February! Isn't that crazy?  Next month! So... who doesn't like a little fairy? Mom wanted to do a little fairy look and picked the image, so of course I must oblige! This girl was the BEST for her entire session! It was a tree farm Christmas session, in Mullica Hill.  

I work with a family on a little tree farm and they are just fabulous to work with. They welcomed me back a second time this year. Well, anyway.. I want to start featuring a photo a day possibly (that's if I have the time, my schedule is CRAZY) and why I don't blog often! ...  so to show a little photo.. I need to write a backstory.. and there it is above!

Hello there! It's time to share another session on the blog! Recently, I had the pleasure of conducting a mini session right here in South Jersey, more specifically in Sewell. These were 15-minute sessions held at a stunning location blessed with incredible light. The lighting at this spot is simply exquisite and never fails to leave me in awe.

This location in Washington Township, Sewell, offers a rustic charm that serves as the perfect backdrop for photography sessions. In an area where options for photographers are somewhat limited, stumbling upon this gem was a stroke of luck. Its east-to-west orientation ensures optimal lighting conditions, making it a prime choice for any photographer.

As photographers, we're accustomed to working in various conditions, adapting to whatever the circumstances may be. While I'm a firm believer in the magic of golden hour lighting, I also understand that perfect conditions aren't always guaranteed. Sometimes, you simply have to embrace the moment and make the most of it.

During this particular session, I had the pleasure of photographing two lovely sisters. Despite the limited timeframe, I'm thrilled with the results we achieved. It's always a joy to see how well sessions turn out, especially when working with such wonderful subjects.

Since then, I've had the opportunity to conduct more sessions at this location, and I'm eagerly anticipating returning, especially as autumn approaches. With the vibrant colors of fall foliage on the horizon, I can only imagine how stunning the photos will be. I've made an effort to capture that essence in the images shared here, but rest assured, there's much more to come!
