Vintage is life! Taken in Woodstown, NJ.

As I progress throughout the years (and hopefully, my skills are improving) as I'll never be satisfied. I have a thirst for knowledge and I take courses all throughout the year in how to better my photography.One thing I am truly adoring as of late, is vintage sessions. There is something timeless and magical about capturing something simple. Don't get me wrong, I do love the fancy dresses, but there's something about just staying with something simple. Simple and sweet. Neutral clothing, simple setting with beautiful light.. and then watch the magic happen. 

One thing with me is that I am a light lover. You'll see my lighting in every photo I edit or do.. Light is key. If you have crappy light, this can make or break your images. I am extremely OCD about my light, but it's one reason why folks hire me. It's literally all in the little details. One thing folks don't know is that I actually have a ton of vintage wear for my clients to use. I have locations all over South Jersey to use and can incorporate such simple clothing into these environments.

My goal by next year, is to offer simple farm sessions. Where kids can photograph with animals. There's nothing like the interaction of a child with an animal. Seeing their joy on their faces!! 

I have a workshop with Sujata, from But Natural Photography, out of England next month. I cannot wait to learn from her as she works with animals continuously. If you haven't seen her work, you need to give her a google. Her work is incredible! Every year, my photography friends and I get together for a carnival photo session! This was last year's. The previous year (2016) style was old time classic. I believe I made a blog post of it in the past!  Girls in almost a victorian look, boys on amusement rides and enjoying cotton candy.  It was a fun time! This past year, was a bit more challenging as this place was the most packed we have ever seen a carnival in New Jersey!  This year, cannot wait as have something sweet planned! I love carnivals. It is reminiscent of childhood. I love the lights and enjoy the laughter of kids with their families having the times of their life! There's nothing in this world sweeter! One thing I did love about this carnival session was how casual it was. If you have noticed, I like capturing kids who they are in the moment. I'm not very much into heavily processed skin or features. I am not into cheesy smiles. I want kids to be kids. I want parents to look back and see a beautiful image, but I don't want them to see their child's actual physical features changed. This is a big thing going on in the industry. Where folks are heavily dodging and burning their subjects, skin is losing texture. It's just not the way I would personally want to remember my own children. I want them to look natural and who they are. It's extremely important to me. I do, however, love a creative and dreamy image. I love color and vibrancy, but I also like simple. The outfits chosen from this shoot were from an Australian company called, Lulu Stars. We also used some tutu du monde pieces which I always find great pieces to add to any photographer's wardrobe. Tutu du monde clothing tends to work with any theme.  Enjoy the lights and colors of this carnival collection photo shoot. I tried to give it a more vintage feel and hope I have delivered. I cannot wait until this year's carnival shoot! It will be a blast!!!  Who knows? We may do a model call. Hopefully, we get a better place in New Jersey this time!!! Not as packed!!! However, the theme is going to be adorable!!! We cannot wait to share!!!    

Sunflower Sessions!!! Southern New Jersey Photographer

Sunflower sessions in Southern New JerseyIt's the most wonderful time of the year. That time of year when the sun is still shining brightly. You still see some lightning bugs glowing in the summer evenings. Nice cool evening breezes. Sweet sounds of the ice cream truck man coming into town. Walks on the boardwalk with the family. All the smells, sounds, people watching and lights.Days are more relaxed. People seem more cheerful. Lots of beautiful sunsets to gaze at!  definitely brings you back to childhood this time of year. Summer is always a wonderful time! Summer sessions are in full swing. A lot of beach sessions. In fact, we've been at the Jersey shore at least three times a week this year!!! I am loving the weather this year!!! The water is a beautiful ALMOST turquoise. As beach sessions are sold out, we are now offering Sunflower sessions. This year, we are using an entirely different farm and location!!! I am truly blessed and grateful to be using this farm this year! They are starting to come in nicely!!! Hi there!!! It's been a whirlwind summer already! The beach air, summer wind, mist of the ocean, waves echoing in the background. It's EVERYTHING this time of year and what the Jersey shore is all about! I love being a Jersey Shore photographer. Some of my favorite beaches are along the coastline from Ocean City, Atlantic City, Brigantine, Sea Isle, Barnegat, LBI, Cape May, Stone Harbor. I truly love this time of year. Beach photography is definitely what I was born to do and I love capturing every single moment of this time of year! The wind in your hair, the cool breeze coming off the coast, the sun shining and glistening off the waves. The beach smell. There's always that beautiful and sweet beach smell. The feel of soft sand on your feet... the water splashing around your toes. The children laughing and playing, college kids enjoying their young adulthood, parents with their babies creating their first memories, grandparents who have retired and now have a beach house to bring generations of their families. THIS is what the summer is about at the Jersey shore. Nothing else can honestly compare in the country this time of year. THIS IS OUR TIME.. and what honestly New Jersey shines for. We've already started our beach sessions and this is our first edit of the season! I am greatly in love! I can't wait to edit more family's galleries. The photos that have been captured these past few weeks have been nothing but stellar. I can't wait to create more as the 2018 season progresses!!! Unicorn Sessions!!

Magical Unicorn Sessions

 I didn't think was able to do another unicorn session this year, but managed to squeeze one in! These unicorn sessions will be the last ones will be offering for here on out, so snag a spot while you can! These are our most requested sessions to do! I truly love these.  I love how every little girl or boy feels like a princess or prince. I love making these sessions perfect for every child that comes along my way.
