Resulting image of the session!

I love seeing behind the scenes on sessions and in the future, I will post a bit about this session more and show you the final edited.  However, I'll go into a little depth of how it came about.I have been inspired by everything vintage lately! 1920's, 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's even 80's.. you name it.  Most folks know me for the for getting girls all dolled up in big poofy dresses so this was a first for me.I recently went to a shootout that one of my mentors hosted and she got this beautiful ice cream truck for it.This shootout was blast and I walked away wanting to really step out of my comfort zone and define me. I think a lot of us struggle with that in this industry to define OUR STYLE, rather than someone else's. You'll start to see similarities and copies and copies of work in even just the editing.

Peace and love for all!

My goal going ahead is to experiment and try new things... and to just keep learning. However, I know we are going off topic here.. haha! Stay with me. I wanted to attempt something different wardrobe wise and as I said above have been inspired by fashions from the 20th Century. I decided to pic 1960's and I opted for more casual attire.Picture cute cut off shorts, bell bottoms, fringe and feathers.  Something simple and cute. Now, I purchased these items months ago. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with them. I wanted to do something and couldn't really come to a conclusion on the location or where I wanted it to be done.I saw this van come across my feed and it was like the heavens were shining above. I knew this would be the perfect addition to my session that I had envisioned...

Jumping for joy and ice cream!

I reached out to the owner and they graciously obliged! We had two sets. One a fringe set with lanterns and leather fringe and then utilized the van and it was a great time!  Here is a sneak on the final product of the day!  It was such a fun time and I plan on offering boho sessions next year with the VW!

Can't wait to show you more!!! This image also got published today with Inspire Magazine!  Thank you Inspire! Love you! We shot this in Sewell, New Jersey!!!! It was solid, man!
