Working as a unicorn photographer is a unique and enchanting occupation that brings unparalleled joy to my life. My favorite unicorn buddy, Drifter, and I spend our days capturing precious moments and making magical memories come true. Recently, we had the delightful opportunity to photograph two lovely sisters and their mom. Let me take you on a journey through this magical experience.

Drifter, in all his celestial grandeur, is not just a prop but the very heart of my photography work. More than just a beautiful creature, he is an integral part of the magic we create in every photography session. Our relationship goes beyond a mere working association, extending into the realms of friendship and mutual respect. During photo shoots, Drifter's intuitive nature shines through. He seems to grasp my unspoken directions, altering his posture and movements in harmony with the camera. There's a transformative enchantment that unfolds when a little girl, bedecked in a princess gown and tiara, steps in front of my camera. The twinkle in their eyes, the innocent giggles escaping their lips, the contagious excitement they exude - each of these moments are priceless to capture. As their fairy-tale dreams begin to materialize, their authentic expressions of pure delight make for heartwarming portraits.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my job as a unicorn photographer is being able to provide a unique, magical platform where these young princesses can express their true selves. A Memorable Photo Shoot with Two Sisters and Their Mother

The photo session with these two sisters and their momma was truly a spectacle of love, laughter, and enchanting magic. Adorned in princess dresses, the sisters interacted with Drifter in a way that captured the quintessence of childhood - sheer wonder, boundless curiosity, and unbridled joy. Her interaction with Drifter, and her daughters, created a harmonious blend of maternal love and fantasy.

Are there certain locations that are better suited for unicorn photography?

Not necessarily. The same rules apply as if you were getting your portraits without a unicorn. As long as the location has beautiful lighting... all will be golden!

Are there any safety measures in place to ensure that Drifter and clients stay safe during a photoshoot?

Absolutely! We have two handlers that we edit out of all our images. All there by your child's side. Drifter has never hurt anyone. He kind of just lets you pet him like a puppy, but as always you never know when working with animals and safety is our number one priority!

What inspired us to specialize in unicorn photography?

I loved this movie called, Legend, as a child. The unicorn was running through the forest. It's such a magical scene. Two unicorns playing in the stream and flower petals flowing through the air! Give it a google. Tom Cruise is in it too!

Every session brings magic to every princess and prince are unicorn sessions are delight.  At Shooting Star photography our goal is to make loving and lasting memories for your family. Most of these unicorn sessions can be displayed wide and high as art pieces in your home.

Every single unicorn session has a different location depending on the season when you arrive at your scheduled time we were greet you and guide you. You will see numerous racks of beautiful gowns, all varying in sizes and that coordinate with the season we have a changing temp for privacy on location where you can try on the dresses and choose what you’d like to wear for your sessions. We offer this as a courtesy it to our customers. Of course, you do not need to wear dresses. You may wear whatever you wish.

At to session we will guide you in various poses. You may get on the horse if you’d like based on preference and you were also welcome to get any poses that you would like for your session.
