Family Photo Shoot Fun Session at Daretown

I am very behind in getting postings up here!  We have been busy, busy, busy!  So busy that we haven't even posted much to social media or on this website/blog.  I am prepping for my first wedding . I'm confident the photographs are going to be beautiful, but of course a bit nervous, a family shoot and mini sessions... All this upcoming weekend!

Here's a look at a session I did last fall!This was another great family that came to visit me!  We were going for a little bit of an artsy feel, mixed with a cinema film look.  As you can see, this is what transpired and think the style we were set out to achieve, went well.  I used a 50mm 1.8 lens and a cinema 85mm 1.4 aspherical lens and shot wide open in some of these shots.  We wanted a little bit of bokeh (the blurry background effect that is done in camera). 

If you look at my work, I love bokeh!!! I feel that it puts more emphasis on your subject.  Sometimes, I look shooting wide open, sometimes I don't and like my photos a little more sharp and I'll go up a few stops in that case!This family was wonderful from start to finish.  They knew exactly what they wanted and I was happy to deliver it to them!  We started at our studio here in South Jersey and then went to out to one of my secret locations in the area. They came all the way from Burlington County just to see me.  I felt truly special that they came all this way, just to see me!  Hope you enjoyed these movie-inspired photos!

A Little Gal at the Studio!

This age can be hard. Sometimes just letting them do their thing and play with a toy can help to get some cute photos. Otherwise, they are just running all over the place at this age.

Here's another little gal that visited the studio last fall!  Her mom and I were neighbors in Camden County and they came here to see me and to get photographed!  It was a nice little visit.  All this little gal wanted to do... was to play and play!  She loves the outdoors... so we went outside! She's definitely a little princess, but with a tomboy twist! She loves Frozen, but she also doesn't mind getting dirty!  My kind of gal! 

I loved that about her personality and it truly shows through the camera!   Here's just a few photos from our cute little session. I try not to put up too much into each blog, so that I don't overkill it!  

However, if you are interested in using me, it gives you an idea of my overall style! It was another beautiful day in our private garden!  I'm so thankful that I can do photo shoots in it! Plus, it gives folks some extra privacy and well, the grounds are just stunning too! 

This 2015 is going to be incredible with all the perennials we planted! We also put in a gazebo and I just purchased a bunch of new props! I can't wait to use them and to share them with others!!! It will truly be magical!  This is going to be a whole new crazy year!

Salem County, NJ Fall Photo Shoot!

Welcome to Salem County, New Jersey, where we did this shoot! This past fall, we had a photo shoot with this little cutie, here in Salem County!  The fall is my favorite shooting season!  I love the weather we have in South Jersey! From September to November, they are the most optimal months.  The days are still long and the weather is usually just perfection!

We did this session in the Shooting Star private gardens and created a mock pumpkin patch!  As you can see, this handsome guy had a great time!  If you ever get the chance to have a session, here at the studio, you are in for a true treat!  We have a beautiful stream that runs along our property and we have thousands of mature perennials located in stone terraced gardens!  It's like you are in another world, not South Jersey! 

I'm so thrilled to be able to offer this to my clients! It's a private retreat for most!  Also, if you've never visited Salem County, it is a real treat!  However, remember... I travel anywhere in South Jersey!! Yup, we will travel all over and have hundreds of scouted locations for you to choose from!    I truly love working with kids and families!  It makes my job so much fun to be able to capture these memories that will last forever!  Plus, photography is a true passion of mine!
